Audience at the event

On May 7th in the RVHS commons, nine RVHS seniors gave a presentation about their overall experience with the place they interned this semester. This was the first time RVHS offered internships to students. The seniors gave this presentation to the people they interned under as well as other family members who were asked to attend.

Mariah Zavala explained her experience. "I interned at the University of Veterinary Care Center. It was really good. The employees were super nice. I didn't get as much hands on as the other interns did, but I did get to experience a lot of different stuff that they didn't. I got training on how to handle the employees' exotic animals."

When asked about advise for future intern students, Zavala added, "I'd say go for it! Do something that you wouldn't normally do. I did exotics just because I'm used to normal live stock and regular small animals, so definitely do something you wouldn't think you'd be doing."
